Mindfulness gives you space from the chaos, while defusion helps you not get hooked to the story that you’re a bad parent.

Mindfulness increases your awareness of your own behaviour while defusion helps you to respond to your child in a way you want and not simply in response to automatic thoughts. Practicing mindfulness and defusion as part of self-care not only strengthens your ability to observe yourself, but helps to reduce of thoughts over your parenting behaviour.
